These are certainly unprecedented times that we are all facing across the nation and whole world regarding the COVID19 pandemic. We are all doing our best to protect and look after family and friends in this time of great uncertainty.

Since the government announcement to enforce lockdown, the trust has closed all of its services and facilities but has retained a small core team to ensure essential business functions continue and that our facilities are maintained and safe, ready to reopen and welcome the community back at the end of this temporary closure period.

During the current, unprecedented situation, the Government has instructed to people to stay at home and only go outside to buy essentials, for exercise or work (where this absolutely cannot be done from home) and to stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people. https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Beach huts, chalets and sites along Lowestoft South Beach and Pakefield are hired / licenced / leased for private use only. Neither Sentinel Leisure Trust nor East Suffolk Council have the legal powers or resources to enforce people staying away from popular destinations, such as the beach or promenades, however we are appealing to our customers and the public to adhere to the Government guidelines and not visit the promenade / beach huts during this time.

Members paying by Direct Debit will have their membership placed on freeze (£0) with no payments taken from 1st April, until we can reopen. At the point of reopening, every member will receive a grace period relative to the last payment taken in March 2020 for the same duration that the services were not available to them. Members who have paid cash up front will also have their membership frozen and will have a period of extension once we reopen to ensure that they receive their full membership period.

People who have booked and paid for activities such as birthday parties, we would love to reschedule these in the future however, if you prefer to receive your deposit back, please contact accounts@sltgroup.org with your details.

Anyone wishing to help the trust support the community please do get in touch, we welcome volunteers and will be grateful for any support that can be given, especially to those in the community at most risk and in most need.

We would sincerely like to ask all our customers to have forbearance with us at this time as we reduce to a minimal remote staffing level and be mindful that we have all been personally affected included our staff.
